DISCOVER YOUR SELF CONCEPT
The self-concept is basically the ideas you have about who you are in connection with your past experiences.

After they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than the other disciples do?" Peter answered him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus told him, "Feed my lambs." Jesus asked him again, a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter answered him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus told him, "Take care of my sheep." Jesus asked him a third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter felt sad because Jesus had asked him a third time, "Do you love me?" So Peter said to him, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you." Jesus told him, "Feed my sheep. (Joh 21:15-17)
Notice in the above scripture Jesus asked Perter three times to tell him that he loved him. Then Jesus connected Peter’s love toward the action of Leadership. Remember, Peter had recently denied the Lord three times. Now Jesus was trying to change Peter’s self concept from one who denied the Lord to one who leads others to him!
